Sculptors Calendar 2022

Commemorative Calendar by Yeon-Tak Chang and David Ruben Piqtoukun

I am honoured to have several of my recent photos chosen for this calendar. Yeon-Tak and David were creating new works for their joint exhibit, now showing in Toronto at the Canadian Sculpture Centre in the Historic Distillery District.

The exhibit is titled “Harmony Between Man and Nature” which is a theme they both adhere to in their works, in their own ways.

They have been planning and going about their creating for over a year, right up to the last weeks before the opening.

Yeon-Tak and David have at least 110 years of sculpting combined, and both have pieces in galleries and private collections beyond Canada.

The images I have credit for are the six representing David’s work, shown here to the right of the calendar cover. The originals will be archived to join the years of images I have been privileged to take. Those, and the latest works by Yeon-Tak Chang can be seen at the exhibit until November 28.

Information about the exhibit and the location, Canadian Sculpture Centre, can be found at Canadian Sculpture Centre

Please browse both artists’ sites for more sculptures and a sense of their long careers turning stone into fine art, in collections around the world.
